Mystery European Game Ticket & Return Flights

Frequently Asked Questions

The Basics

How does it work?

You pick the weekend and we’ll arrange everything in line with your chosen package.

We’ll then send you a personalised Destination Guide, complete with your itinerary and hints and tips.

How much does a trip cost?

Our mainland Europe package starts from €200 per person, including return flights and a match ticket. Adding two nights’ accommodation takes it to €339 per person.

Where will I go?

It’s a secret — all is revealed up to 10 days before departure day. Our mainland Europe package covers leagues and domestic cups in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland — always excluding your home country.

Can I choose where I want to go?

Leaving your destination in the hands of the football gods is our concept. However, for those wanting a guaranteed top flight game, we offer the ‘Elite’ upgrade. It guarantees a match in one of Europe’s five biggest leagues — Ligue 1 in France, the Bundesliga in Germany, Serie A in Italy, the Premier League in England or La Liga in Spain — always excluding your home country.

Can I request not to go somewhere?

Yes. If you would like to avoid certain countries or cities, list them in the ‘Order notes’ box in the checkout. Note, if you are a returning customer we’d automatically ensure you won’t visit the same stadium again.

How long will I be away?

Weekend dates depart either on the Friday or Saturday, returning on either the Sunday or the Monday. Need to book leave off work? Book the Friday and Monday and you’re covered in both eventualities. Departure dates/days for other listed trips are stated on the listing page.

Can I have a longer trip?

Yes, simply add your desired trip length in the ‘Order notes’ box when ordering. Unfortunately, we cannot amend the length of the trip once it’s been paid for and booked.

What about accommodation?

Accommodation is an optional extra on our mainland Europe package: add two nights when you book and we arrange and pay for your stay. Prefer to sort your own? Book the flights and match ticket on their own.

Where we book it, expect on average a three star hotel, typically centrally located within the host city or town and close to key transport links. For larger groups this may also be apartments.

Is my money protected?

Yes. Your payment is held in a protected travel trust account with Protected Trust Services (PTS) until you travel, so in the unlikely event anything were to happen to us, your money remains fully protected.

Bookings

Can I book with children?

Yes! Minimum age is 3 and there must be at least 1 adult in the group. Rest assured we take into consideration if children are attending when we select the fixture. We will ensure an appropriate game and stadium location.

Are mystery football trips suitable for group trips?

Yes. We cater for stag dos, hen dos, sten dos, lads’ trips, group getaways, smaller groups and solo travellers. You can book up to 8 people straight from the site; for larger parties, send us your dates and numbers and we will put it together for you.

Can I go with friends/group?

Yes. You can book up to 8 people immediately on our site. We can accommodate larger groups on request, dates are limited so email us with your details.

Will we be together at the game?

Yes, absolutely. We will endeavour to make sure you are together. Due to ticket allocations and availability, for larger groups this may mean a number of smaller groups of 2 or more together.

Can I choose my stadium location?

If you have accessibility requirements then be sure to let us know at the time of booking. We will look to locate you in or near an atmospheric part of the stadium. Depending on venue, this could be in seats or safe standing sections. Bookings with younger children will be seated in family friendly sections. Tickets are usually in home sections. For high demand games you may be located in away sections, this will be advised in your Destination Guide.

What payments do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, including AmEx.

Do I need a visa?

Our European destinations do not require a visa for EU and EEA passport holders. If your reveal takes you to England or Scotland, you may need a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation, which is applied for online — we will confirm what you need when we reveal your destination. If you hold another nationality, tell us when you book and we will advise.

What after sale support do you offer?

Our amazing Team will be available on WhatsApp to answer any follow up questions you may have. We even give travel and tourist advice if you need.

Do you accept stag and hen do’s?

Yes. If your party is over 8 people, simply contact us with your details. Note, it is your responsibility to behave in accordance to airline and stadium rules.

Can I cancel my booking?

Unfortunately due to the non refundable nature of tickets, we cannot facilitate refunds once bookings have been made.

Do you accept solo bookings?

Yes, and you are more than welcome! Our mainland Europe package can be booked for just one person, straight from the booking page.

If you add accommodation, a single occupancy supplement of €103 is added at checkout, as you will have the room all to yourself. Travelling without accommodation? Then there is nothing extra to pay.

Other

Where can I fly from?

We currently fly from Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Frankfurt, Köln, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Paris, Prague, Rome, Vienna and Zurich. You pick your departure airport when you book.

What type of accommodation can I expect?

If you add accommodation, as a general rule of thumb you can expect on average a 3 star hotel, serviced accommodation or the local equivalent, typically central and close to transport links.

This is based on 2 or more people sharing per room; if you are travelling on your own, you will have a room to yourself. Larger groups will be placed in multiple rooms at the same hotel or apartment(s).

How long are transfers? and are they included?

You are responsible for arranging local transport. We will however provide advice on how to get from the airport to your host city in your destination guide. We will also provide hints and tips about how to get to the stadium on match day. Secret Match Day ensures transfer times are as minimal as possible. These will never exceed 60-120 mins and will only be that long in reasonable circumstances, such as for big fixtures, to accommodate limited regional flights, or following a short flight.
